You Are Known By The Company You Keep

If you spend much time with me, you will hear me talk about choices . Do you choose to surround yourself with people who have high standards and a good value system? Do you choose to work for a company that treats its clients with respect and is ethical in every way?
Or, do you choose to associate with friends and colleagues who have questionable ethics and excercise bad judgment, but choose to ignore it because of their perceived status in the community? Do you choose to have negative people in your life and find yourself wondering why you have a bad attitude?
In a recent post by Seth Godin, called Contagious, Seth reinforces my feeling that you CHOOSE your friends, your employer, and the people in your life.
I choose to have a positive attitude, and associate with people who are ethical and respectful. I have left companies, and relationships, over that issue. That is my choice.
Take a few minutes to think about that today. What do the choices you make in your business, and personal relationships, and your surroundings, reveal about you?

South Tampa Intersections to Avoid in A Storm!

South Tampa is a wonderful place to live. But, it isnt known for its state-of-the art drainage systems!
While the City of Tampa is continually working to improving the storm drains, many areas will flood very quickly during the heavy rains of summer.
Summer thunderstorms are a frequent event! Here are the intersections to avoid in a downpour. How many times have you tried to get home and found yourself in the middle of a flooded intersection with no way out?
Remember, just two feet of water can wash a car away, and driving through water can ruin your engine.
This is a great map with all of the “worst intersections for Flooding”. Check it out!
Stay safe and avoid flooded intersections. Prepare several routes that you know are flood free and remember to take them in a rain storm!

Ballard Designs Opens It’s First Retail Store In Tampa Today

Ballard Designs, the Atlanta-based retailer opens its first Retail Store at International Plaza in Tampa today. Specializing in home accessories and furniture sold by catalogue, Ballard premieres with a 20,000 square foot location in the upscale shopping mall.
Ballard Designs carries rugs, furniture, bath accessories, kitchenware, lamps, mirrors and many French Inspired collections.
Look for another Ballard Designs store to open soon in Jacksonville!

It’s hard to beat Bern’s Steakhouse, if only for the vast array of “steak options” available on the menu…not to mention that tacky red velvet decor! Try appetizers at the bar, or a steak sandwich…and tell Kenny I sent you! In a poll of my reader’s, Bern’s narrowly edged out as the winner!
