Tampa Neighborhoods

South Tampa
South Tampa is the area south of Downtown Tampa. It is a peninsula surrounded by Tampa Bay and Hillsborough Bay, and includes MacDill Air Force Base at the point. Hyde Park is the historic neighborhood, filled with homes dating back to the early 1900s. Each neighborhood has its own unique character. Always a popular place to live, South Tampa is known for its unique shops and restaurants, as well as its highly rated schools.

Also considered part of South Tampa are the Islands: Davis Islands and Harbour Island. Downtown living includes the Channelside district, which is home to the Port of Tampa, Florida Aquarium and St. Pete Times Forum. It is filled with newer lofts and condominiums.

Westchase
